Jevil is the hardest fight in Chapter 1, and beating him is less about raw power than about patience, preparation, and learning his rhythm. The core idea: it's an endurance test

There is no weakness to exploit and no burst-down trick that trivializes Jevil. The fight is built around survival — outlasting a long, escalating series of bullet-hell attacks while chipping away (or ACTing) between turns. Your goal every single turn is the same: take your action, then dodge cleanly. Whoever runs out of patience first loses, and Jevil has infinite patience.

You have two win conditions:

• FIGHT him down to zero HP for one reward, or
• SPARE him by wearing him down through ACTs for a different reward.

Preparation before you knock

Most failed Jevil runs are lost before the fight starts. Come prepared:

Jevil's attacks look like pure noise the first time, but they're actually a fixed, learnable set — his pattern order is consistent rather than random, so every attempt teaches you the next one. The general survival mindset:

• Stay near the center and move in small, deliberate steps. Most patterns reward calm micro-adjustments over panic dashes.
• Rotate with spinning attacks rather than fighting them — when blades or shapes orbit the box, move with the spin and settle into the gap.
• Pre-position for radial bursts. When shapes drop in to explode outward, get between the blast centers before they pop, not after.

Because the fight is so long, consistency beats heroics. Heal before you're in danger rather than gambling on one more attack turn. Keep your whole party functional — a downed member makes every following bullet phase harder. And if you're going for the kill, remember it takes many rounds to grind him down, so settle in.
