The mods spun up a Chapter 5 megathread to catch the flood (1,100+ comments and counting), raised the karma bar, and asked everyone to spoiler-tag plot beats. Here's what the community surfaced first.

The hidden egg

One of the earliest verified finds was the Chapter 5 egg location, and it's a proper Toby Fox rabbit hole:

1. Walk past the shop in the cliffs area, into the field of wheat.
2. In the field where the tropical Starwalker shoots at you, run back and forth, destroying all the wheat.
3. Once it's "harvested," one tile of wheat respawns each pass — destroy it enough times and a balloon pops up.
4. Follow the balloon into the dog room, follow the dog's flower order, and you'll get a watering can that opens the egg room.

The secret boss key

Players hunting the secret boss without a full guide got a clean, spoiler-tagged answer in "Could anyone tell me where the Chapter 5 secret boss is?". The consensus, as one reply put it: "like every single other secret boss, it is related to a shop."

The specifics: the clifftop shop sells the secret key. Bank around 10 pink coins (P) across the dark-world sub-areas first, then buy it before the pink door. From the green castle-top shop, head up into the next room, go left instead of right, then down at the next intersection and blow the pinwheel to reveal the secret door.

The final fight is kicking everyone
